Fri 15 Oct
8:30pm | St. Stephen's Cathedral
The youth choirs from some of Europe's finest opera houses make a guest appearance at St. Stephen's Cathedral for a wonderful concert. The programme spans all countries, eras and musical traditions, from Rossini to Bruckner, Schubert, Kodaly and Casals to Uusberg, Mäntyjärvi and Farnell.
The young singers from the opera houses of Berlin, Milan, Vienna, Madrid and Graz have not lost the joy of singing and music despite the difficult conditions of the last months. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Vienna State Opera Youth Choir, the joint concert puts a positive exclamation mark on European cooperation. Music accompanies the young people and us listeners, music builds bridges within Europe.
We are very much looking forward to the impressive operatic voices of the young choirs in the beautiful St. Stephen's Cathedral.
